Man killed in head-on collision

A 26-year-old motorist from Stevenage has died in a head-on collision in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

The victim was driving a black Vauxhall Signum which was involved in a collision with a white Ford Transit, on the Park Way.

The Vauxhall was travelling towards Hitchin town centre while the Ford was travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Ford, a 43-year-old man from Hitchin, was taken to the Lister hospital with serious injuries.
