Work to demolish two bridges has already been carried out

A section of motorway running through Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire will be closed again this weekend to allow for the demolition of several bridges.
The section between junctions 8 and 10 of the M1, between Hemel Hempstead and Luton, will be closed overnight.
The work is part of the Highways Agency scheme to widen the M1.
The road will be closed from 2000 BST on Saturday until the middle of Sunday afternoon while bridges are demolished. Diversions will be signposted.
However, motorists are advised by the Highways Agency to avoid the area.
This is the second time the motorway has been shut overnight this year for this work and there are other closures planned for July.
