A range of recyclable furniture has been created by a design student who got fed up with packing his belongings at the end of term.
The desk can be folded into a box and used for storage
Lewis Barnes, from Milton Keynes, aims to make moving house easier with his designs that are made out of cardboard.
The furniture can be folded into a box and used for packing, reused as furniture or recycled.
"By living 'out of the box' you can just simply move without the hassle'," the Coventry University student said.
Mr Barnes, 22, said his designs remove the need for packing.
"The handle on the stand allows items to remain in the desk, allowing quick and easy moving," he said.
"I have used cardboard so after its useful life it can be easily recycled and also helps keep the costs low, making it ideal for a temporary lifespan.
"The idea comes after many years of packing my belongings to go back home at the end of term. Not only do you have to pack to leave but you also have to unpack when you get home," he said.
The furniture is part of a range of items from final year product design students which go on display at the university from this Friday.
