Recycling centre staff laid off
Milton Keynes recycling site
The building at the recycling site was virtually destroyed in the blaze
Many of the staff at a recycling plant in Buckinghamshire that was severley damaged by fire have lost their jobs.

Managers at Cutts recycling, which runs the centre at Old Wolverton, said 40 people had been laid off because it was not known when it would re-open.

The fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday, 3 April in what was the second major blaze in nine years.

Cutts also said it was the firm's "full intention" to resume work at the depot when it had been renovated.

Collections of waste for recycling in Milton Keynes have not been affected as all recycling material is shipped to Northampton and Peterborough.
