Work to start on airport project
Former Ipswich Airport site
More than 100 new houses and apartments will be built
Work is due to start on a 14m project to improve community facilities at the former Ipswich Airport site.

The development at Ravenswood Estate will include more than 100 new houses and apartments, a community centre, nursery school and sports pavilion.

Developers hope the project will complement the airport's existing 1930s grade II listed buildings.

Work on the new houses will start in May and the whole project is expected to be completed next spring.
