Council planning library closures
Plans to close eight libraries in Buckinghamshire have been announced by the county council.

The council says closing them down and selling off the buildings would help buy a new mobile library to cover the area instead.

The money would also be used to improve other county libraries, and Aylesbury library could open on Sundays.

The public have six weeks to put their opinions forward, and a final decision will be made in December.

The eight libraries that could close are Chalfont St Giles, Iver, Little Chalfont, Micklefield in Wycombe, Ritchings Park near Iver, Steeple Claydon, Stewkley and West Wycombe.
