Concern is growing for a 33-year-old woman last seen when she was going out to collect money for charity dressed in a clown costume.

Doreen Webster, who was staying with her father in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, has been missing since 9 August.

She disappeared after meeting her brother for a drink in St Albans High Street at lunchtime.

Miss Webster is described as white, around 5ft 5ins tall and of slim build. She has long dark hair.

She speaks with a Midlands accent and has three small but distinctive scars on the tip of her nose.

Dc Neil Barella said: "We are concerned about Doreen's welfare. We would very much like to speak to anyone who may have had contact with Doreen or saw her collecting money on that night."

She was wearing a bright red jacket, striped baggy trousers and oversized clown's shoes when she disappeared.
