'Scream' mask man assaults woman

The attacker wore a mask from the Scream horror film

A woman was sexually assaulted by a man wearing a mask similar to one featured in the horror film Scream.

The woman, who is in her 40s, was walking along Weedon Road in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, on Saturday night when she was grabbed from behind.

The man, who was naked apart from the mask and a long, white t-shirt, assaulted her before running off.

The offender is described as white with very skinny legs and the mask as black balaclava style with a white face.

Det Sup Geordie Myneham said: "This was a particularly unusual attack carried out by a man wearing a very distinctive mask.

"If anyone saw a man dressed in the Scream mask around Aylesbury on Saturday night I would urge them to contact me.

"I am also keen to hear from anyone who knows people who own one of these masks or has recently purchased one."
