Budget flyer launches nine routes
Low-cost airline Ryanair has announced plans to fly to nine new destinations from Luton Airport from January.

The Dublin-based airline will fly new routes to Spain, Denmark, France, Italy, Sweden and Ireland.

The company already fly to Dinard in France, Dublin in Ireland and Milan in Italy from Luton.

To mark the new routes the airline is giving away 50,000 free seats from Luton but they must be booked by midnight next Monday.

The new routes are: Barcelona Girona, Barcelona Reus and Murcia in Spain; Esbjerg in Denmark; Nimes in France; Rome and Venice in Italy; Stockholm in Sweden and Shannon in Ireland.

Ryanair's chief executive Michael O'Leary said: "Twelve new low fare routes to Europe from Luton, with four brand new Boeing aircraft, is great news for consumers."
