Hunt goes on for 'letter bomber'
Justin McAuliffe
Police want to trace Justin McAuliffe in connection with a spate of attacks
Police seeking a man in connection with a number of letter bombs admit they have no concrete leads.

Despite receiving several calls about 32-year-old Justin McAuliffe after making a public appeal they have yet to track him down.

The unemployed man, from Bedford, is being sought after 30 suspect packages containing lighter fuel were sent through the post.

Most of the improvised bombs were sent to addresses in Bedfordshire.

Some have gone elsewhere, including one to a Blackpool pub.

Most were made of plastic food boxes filled with lighter fuel.

But officers said some packages also contained white powder and others were small white envelopes with trigger devices.

And on Saturday, officers warned more packages could still be in the postal system.

Mr McAuliffe had been living in the Bedford area for the past 12 months but was originally from Luton, where most of his extended family still live.

He is described as white, 5ft 6in tall, with blue eyes and receding closely-shaven brown hair.
