Four more suspect packages have been recovered in Luton, bringing to 14 the total mailed to addresses and delivery offices in the town.
Six were delivered to residents in Luton on Saturday morning and four were recovered from two Royal Mail delivery offices in the town on Saturday night.
Of the four recovered on Monday morning, one was from the delivery office and three from home addresses.
No one has been injured during the recovery of the packages.
Trained bomb disposal officers dealt with the packages.
Lighter fluid
Nine have been collected from the homes in the town and five have been found at the Royal Mail delivery office in Dunstable Road in Luton and Sarum Road in Leagrave.
The A4 manila envelopes had a Jiffy-style bag inside containing a small plastic lunchbox type container with lighter fluid inside.
Three contained a powder-like substance, which has been sent off for forensic examination. Early indications are that the powder is not thought to be dangerous.
A team led by Det Supt Nicky Dahl is investigating the packages.
It is still not known who sent them or why. None of the recipients knows one another and do not appear to be linked in any way.
Det Supt Dahl said: "If you receive a suspicious or unexpected package, leave it alone and dial 999.
"While all the packages have so far been sent to people's homes, it would be advisable for businesses to also be careful when opening mail."
