Schools are being urged to warn of the dangers of rail vandalism
Drunk and disorderly youths are being targeted as part of a crackdown on rail crime in Buckinghamshire.

Chilterns Railways, British Transport Police and Thames Valley Police are working together in an attempt to reduce disorder and vandalism.

Buckinghamshire Police say rowdy youths travelling between Aylesbury and Wendover have been causing disruption at the station and through the village.

They hope the partnership with the railway operator will stamp it out.

A security team has been based at Beaconsfield Station and deployed on trains between Denham and High Wycombe over Easter.

Letters have been sent to schools across the county informing them about the scheme and inviting them to book sessions highlighting the dangers of trespass and vandalism.

In the last few months Chilterns Railways have received reports of drunken youths at Saunderton station, boys harassing a member of staff at Wendover Station and a potentially fatal near-miss.
