Historic FA CUP medal fetches 2,400

An FA Cup runners-up medal from more than a century ago has been sold for £2,400 at an auction.

Peter Durber, who was born in Stoke-on-Trent in 1873, played for Southampton in their 4-0 defeat against Bury in the 1900 final.

The medal has been sold in a Graham Budd Auctions event at Sotheby's, on New Bond Street in London on Wednesday morning.

Durber also played for Stoke and Glossop North End.
