Three flee fire in Reading block of flats

Three people had to be led to safety by firefighters after a fire in a block of flats in Berkshire.

Crews in two engines were called to a flat in Chester Street, Reading, in the early hours after a fire began in an electrical cupboard.

Firefighters discovered three people were trapped in an upper flat before leading them to safety. No-one was hurt.

The fire was put out after about half an hour.
