A fundraising campaign has been launched to keep a hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold in the West Midlands, where it was unearthed last year.

Campaigners want to raise £3.3m to buy the Staffordshire Hoard, which is thought to be the largest and most valuable collection of Anglo-Saxon treasure ever found.

TV historian Dr David Starkey is leading the appeal.
