Seven people have been arrested after fans clashed at a Premier League football match on Saturday.

Police said violence erupted before the game between Birmingham City and Manchester United, with further clashes at half-time.

Officers were sent to control fans during both incidents at Birmingham's St Andrews Stadium.

Earlier this season, 19 people were charged over violence at Birmingham's match with Aston Villa.

Following Saturday's game, a West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "There were two separate incidents - one just before the game and one during half time and a number of officers have been deployed."
