List of eastern region MPs told to repay expenses

After the Sir Thomas Legg Report and internal reviews into expenses claims, 31 MPs from the eastern counties of England are facing demands which total more than £330,000.

North Essex Conservative MP Bernard Jenkin is disputing the £63,250 he is alleged to owe as is Patrick Hall, Labour MP for Bedford, who has been told to repay £260. Both are officially appealing.

Northampton South Conservative MP Brian Binley has been referred to the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner over £57,000 claimed for renting from his own company.

Charles Clarke (Labour) Norwich South has been asked for clarification. Former Norwich North Labour MP Ian Gibson has repaid about £30,000.

The situation of two serving MPs is not known. They are Billericay Conservative John Baron and Daventry Conservative Tim Boswell.
