Man charged with taxi stab murder

A man has been charged with murdering a taxi driver who was found with stab wounds to his head.

Father-of-three Mohammed Arshad, 36, died in hospital a day after the attack in Wast Hills Lane, Kings Norton, near Birmingham, on 22 July.

A 27-year-old man, from Kings Norton, who was arrested on Saturday, has been charged with his murder, West Mercia Police said.

He will appear at Redditch Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning.

Mr Arshad was a self-employed taxi driver for A Cars.

Police appealed to hear from anyone with information about the incident on the BBC's Crimewatch programme.
