New appeal over murdered cabbie

Murder victim Mohammed Arshad
Mr Ashad was stabbed in the head

Detectives investigating the murder of a taxi driver will appeal again on the BBC's Crimewatch programme in an effort to find his killer.

Mohammed Arshad, 36, was found with stab wounds to his head in Kings Norton, Birmingham, on 22 July.

New CCTV images which capture a man on a bus in Kings Norton on the night of the attack will be shown on the programme later.

Det Supt Sheila Thornes previously made an appeal on the show in September.

Last fare

She said it was "vital" that they identified the man in the CCTV images so he could be "quickly eliminated" from the inquiry if he was not involved in the killing.

Detectives have previously released CCTV images of a man they believe was Mr Arshad's last fare.

He has never been identified.

Mr Arshad was found dead in Wast Hills Lane on the evening of 22 July.

A £10,000 reward has been offered to find his killer.
