Sentence date for nursery abuser

Nursery worker Vanessa George sent images from her mobile phone

A nursery worker and two other child abusers are due to be sentenced at on 15 December.

Vanessa George, 39, Angela Allen, 39, and Colin Blanchard, 38, admitted sex assaults and making and distributing indecent images of children.

George worked at Little Ted's Day Care Unit, in Plymouth, Devon.

Her sentencing, along with Allen, from Nottingham, and Blanchard, from Rochdale, had been postponed to allow more material to be gathered.

Victims named

In October George admitted seven sexual assaults on children and six counts of distributing and making indecent pictures of children.

Blanchard pleaded guilty to 17 child pornography counts and two sexual assaults on children. He also admitted a further charge of possessing extreme pornography.

Allen pleaded guilty to four child sex assaults and one count of distributing an indecent image.

They had been due to be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on Friday, but the date was postponed after George gave names of some of the victims to her lawyer.

The abuse took place between September 2008 and June 2009.

George, Allen and Blanchard, who recorded the abuse on their mobile phones and exchanged the pictures via email, never actually met in person.
