Woman pulled unconscious from sea

A woman has been pulled from the sea off Bournemouth after she was spotted floating unconscious in the water.

A member of the public called 999 after the woman, in her 20s, was spotted off West Beach.

A full search was carried out by the coastguard helicopter and other emergency crews but no-one else was hurt or stranded.

The woman was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in a serious condition, and the search called off.
