Man pleads guilty over stab death

A man has admitted the murder of a County Durham mother-of-three who suffered multiple stab wounds.

The body of Lisa Leckenby, 28, was discovered in the living room of a terraced house in Tenth Street, Blackhall, near Peterlee, on 9 August.

Marcel Allan pleaded guilty at Newcastle Crown Court on Friday.

The 42-year-old, of no fixed address, was warned he faced a life sentence. He was remanded in custody for sentencing on 23 November.
