Man held in missing girl inquiry

A man has been arrested after police found a teenage girl in Leicester who had been missing for six weeks.

The 14-year-old had not been seen since September, when she went missing on a trip to Shropshire.

West Mercia Police officers found the girl in a part of Leicester on Wednesday evening, a force spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said a man was arrested then in connection with the investigation and released on bail.
