Crews tackle passenger train fire

Fire crews have been dealing with a fire on a passenger train at Guildford railway station in Surrey.

More than 20 firefighters in four fire engines were called to the incident at about 1750 BST.

There are no reports of any injuries, but train services are delayed passing through the station.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was in the train traction unit. BBC travel reports said some services were delayed by up to 80 minutes.

Delays have affected services run by South West Trains between London Waterloo and Guildford, between London Waterloo and Havant in Hampshire, and between Guildford and Ascot in Berkshire.
