A nature reserve near Barnsley could be in line for a top environmental award after coming up with a simple scheme to protect its lapwing chicks.
Old Moor Wetland Centre in the Dearne Valley put up an electric fence around the chicks' breeding area to keep out predators.
Now the nature reserve has seen a record number of lapwing chicks fledge.
