Death crash motorcyclist is named

Police have released the name of a female motorcyclist killed in a collision involving three other vehicles in County Durham.

Alison Maughan, 47, who was from the Chilton area, died at the scene of the crash on the A68 on Saturday. No one else was injured.

The crash happened between Crook and Tow Law, just north of the Harperley Hall roundabout.

Any witnesses to the incident at 0945 BST are asked to contact Durham Police.
