Arrests over cannabis plant find

More than 100 cannabis plants have been found by police during a raid at a house in Darlington.

The plants, which would be worth tens of thousands of pounds on the streets, were discovered at the semi-detached property in Jesmond Road on Wednesday.

Sophisticated growing and lighting equipment was also seized.

Two men, aged 27 and 29, were arrested and bailed pending further inquiries, and a 24-year-old woman, also arrested, was released with no further charge.
