Fourteen further swine flu cases

The number of cases in the UK has risen to more than 4,000

A further 14 cases of swine flu have been diagnosed in the South West, according to the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

The HPA region includes Devon and Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset, Avon, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

It brings the total number of confirmed cases to 88. The number of cases in the UK has risen to 4,250.

On Thursday it was confirmed that 15 students had contracted the H1N1 virus at the University of Exeter in Devon.
