Prisoners abscond from open jail

It is not know if all three men left together

Three prisoners have absconded from an open prison in north Worcestershire.

The men were found to be missing last Sunday morning during a roll call at HMP Hewell near Redditch.

Two of the men were serving sentences for murder and the third an eight year sentence for drugs offences. It is not known if they all left together.

Police are searching for Terry Lowe, 24, from Plumstead, London, Nicolas Cole, 32, from Coventry and Thomas Maloney, 33, also from Coventry.

Lowe was convicted in 2001 and given a 10-year-tariff for a man in Plumstead in November 2000.

Cole was serving life for the murder and manslaughter and of two men in a Coventry nightclub in October 1995. He was convicted in 1997.

Maloney was serving eight years for conspiracy and possession of cocaine with intent to supply. He was convicted in November 2006.
