Man facing 'Trisha' show charge

A 24-year-old man has been charged with common assault following an incident on a television talk show.

Ian Lionel Wallace, of Lirkley Cliff, Lowestoft, Suffolk, was charged following an incident on Five's Trisha programme on 12 February 2009.

The alleged assault is said to have occurred off camera during the filming of the programme at Maidstone Studios.

Mr Wallace, believed to have been a guest on the show, is due before Maidstone magistrates on 28 May.

TV channel Five announced in January that it was dropping Trisha Goddard's morning show from its schedule after its current run ends.
