Jail for man after sex assault

A man from Cambridgeshire has been jailed for eight months for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Norfolk.

Paul Gardner, 42, who lives in Wisbech, had indecently touched the girl in King's Lynn in July last year.

Gardner was found guilty of the offence by a jury at Norwich Crown Court.

The court heard that Gardner had previously lived in Whitefriars Terrace, King's Lynn. The girl sent a text to an adult who told the police.

Judge Peter Jacobs sent him to prison for eight months and placed him on the sex offenders register for five years.
