Marc Burrows's team mates will hold a one-minute silence on Saturday
A 30-year-old footballer who scored the game's fastest goal - netting the ball two seconds after the whistle blew - has died of cancer.
Marc Burrows scored the goal for the Isle of Wight's non-league Cowes Sports team against Eastleigh in 2004.
He later moved to Dorset's Christchurch FC. His team mates will hold a one-minute silence before Saturday's FA Vase game against Chalfont St Peter.
Mr Burrows died at his home in Bournemouth after collapsing.
He had been diagnosed with cancer before Christmas.
His team-mates will also wear black arm bands during Saturday's match.
The Football Association confirmed that the wind-assisted strike was the world's fastest goal.
Mr Burrows was a former trainee with Portsmouth Football Club. His team went on to win the match 5-3 after he scored a hat trick.
