In pictures: More snow hits England

Many parts of England awoke to find more snow had fallen overnight. This image shows the view from Alexandra Palace, London.

The weather caused disruption to many roads throughout the country, including the A66 in County Durham.

Drivers took extra care on minor roads around Chatsworth, in Derbyshire.

The wintry weather once again caused problems in and around London, as these snow-covered vehicles in Carshalton show.

Penryn, Cornwall

Snow in The New Forest

There were also beautiful wintry conditions in The New Forest, Hampshire.

Signs warning people to drive carefully were put up in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

Ground staff cleared snow off the pitch at Northampton Town's Sixfields Stadium.

Sledging in Birmingham

In Birmingham many children enjoyed a second day of sledging as the city's schools were closed.

There were also good conditions on slopes in South Weald, Essex.

And in North Yorkshire, with turf racing abandoned, the gallops at Middleham exercised the racehorses in deep snow.
