Man, 33, killed in A3 road crash

A 33-year-old man has died in a crash on a main road through Hampshire.

The man, from Ash, near Aldershot, died when the Audi LDV van he was driving collided with a Land Rover on the A3 at Petersfield on Sunday night.

The 71-year-old driver of the Land Rover and his passenger, of Rogate, West Sussex, were unhurt in the crash, which happened at the A272 junction.

Part of the A3 was closed for five-and-a-half hours while an investigation took place.
