The Conservative leader David Cameron has paid a visit to the North East.
He met senior representatives from Nissan UK in Sunderland on Friday following their announcement of huge job losses.
He began his tour at a business in Stockton before moving to Wearside where he also visited students at the City of Sunderland College.
Mr Cameron ended the day in North Shields where he took questions at the Christchurch Parish centre.
