RSPCA rescues dogs from kennels

The RSPCA has rescued almost 100 dogs from a Northamptonshire kennels.

RSPCA inspectors removed the dogs from a kennels near Northampton following a tip-off from a member of the public.

A spokesman for the charity said 99 dogs have been sent to rescue centres in Nottinghamshire and Cambridgeshire and are being given treatment.

They will eventually be re-homed, the spokesman said. Four other dogs were boarding at the kennels and have been returned to their owners.

There is no concern over the welfare of the four dogs, the spokesman said.

Investigations into the animals' conditions are being carried out.
