Charges over fatal pursuit crash

Two men have been charged after a fatal crash during a police pursuit.

Steven Bellerby, 25, of Peterlee, County Durham, died when the Vauxhall Corsa in which he was a passenger left the M1 in Derbyshire early on Sunday.

A 31-year-old Southampton man will appear before Chesterfield Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

On Wednesday, a Peterlee man, 26, appeared before magistrates charged with aggravated vehicle taking.

He was remanded in custody.
