Baby death nursery case in court

Bosses of a nursery where a 10-month-old girl choked to death on a piece of apple will appear in court next month.

Georgia Hollick died in hospital, on 19 April 2006, after choking on apple at the Just Learning Nursery, near her home in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.

Just Learning Ltd, of High Street, West Malling, Kent, has been charged with breaching health and safety rules.

Cambridge magistrates' sent the case up to the city's crown court for a hearing to be held on 17 October.

South Cambridgeshire District Council is bringing the action against Just Learning Ltd following a prolonged investigation.

The company is charged with breaching Section 33 of the Health and Safety Act between 31 January 2005 and 20 April 2006.
