County escapes worst of flooding

The county of Cumbria has escaped the worst of the flooding that has devastated parts of the North East.

But there are still flood warnings in place at Keswick campsite and the Upper Derwent from Seathwaite to Derwent Water, the Environment Agency said.

Everywhere else in the county has been given the all clear.

Forecasters said early cloud and showers, some heavy, were clearing in the west of the county and sunny spells were expected later on Sunday.
