Worst of the weather 'has passed'

Two flood warnings issued by the Environment Agency (EA) in West Yorkshire remain in place.

The warnings are for the A656 and properties near to the River Aire at Allerton Ings near Leeds.

But the EA said it believed the worst of the weekend's weather had passed for West Yorkshire.

A less-severe flood watch is in place for the River Calder from Brighouse to Castleford. The EA's 24-hour Floodline is 0845 988 1188.
