A man has been formally accused of murdering Essex teenager Dinah McNicol.

Prosecutors have issued a summons over the death of the 18-year-old from Tillingham who went missing after a music festival in August 1991.

A Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said the summons will be served on the man's solicitors and will be heard before Colchester magistrates on 18 September.

Miss McNicol went missing after attending a festival in Liphook, Hampshire.
