Charge over couple's fatal crash

A man has been charged with causing the death of a married couple following a car crash on the Sussex/Surrey border.

Iain McArthur, 32, of Longmoor Road, Liphook, Hampshire, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving on the B2131 in Linchmere, West Sussex.

Andrew Snook, 40, and his wife, Trudi, 37, both of Hammer Hill, Haslemere, Surrey, were killed when their Renault Megane collided with a BMW.

Three people in the BMW were taken to hospital after the crash on 19 April.

Mr McArthur, who was driving the BMW convertible, has been bailed to appear before Chichester Magistrates' Court on 11 September.
