Travel delays over A1 road works

A £1.1m scheme to improve the road surface on the A1 in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire is starting.

The work between Biggleswade and St Neots takes place overnight on weekdays and includes repair works to Tempsford Bridge over the River Ouse.

Work will be carried out on both carriageways over a 7.5 mile (12km) stretch between Biggleswade North roundabout and the Black Cat junction.

The Highways Agency said any diversions would be clearly marked.
