Argos distribution staff striking

Workers at the Argos distribution centre in Bridgwater, Somerset, have voted to go on strike over pay.

The Unite union said a 4 per cent wage rise offered by the company was not enough for its members to cover the rising cost of living.

The workers will be joining colleagues at centres in Essex, Greater Manchester and Leicestershire in taking action.

Unite national officer, Jennie Formby, said Argos faced severe disruption to their customer distribution service.
