Glass attack injures youth's face

A teenager from Northampton is to undergo surgery on facial injuries received in an attack at a nightclub.

The 18-year-old was hit with a glass or bottle at the Buddha Blue Nightclub in Milton Keynes early on Sunday morning.

He was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury for surgery to his face and left eye.

Police want to speak to a light-skinned black man of average build wearing a light or white top and another who is black, tall and wore a bandanna.

Det Con Wayne Watson said: "The club was at capacity at the time of the assault so we are sure that people must have seen what happened.

"This was a vicious attack and the victim has been told by doctors he may not regain sight in his left eye.

"Not only has he sustained severe injuries he has been left traumatised by what has happened."
