Tributes to four 18-year-olds killed in a car crash in Buckinghamshire have been issued by relatives.

James Bowyer, Lee Grimshaw, Kirk Nokes and Edward Manders-Naden died when the car they were travelling in hit a tree on the A422 Brackley Road at Westbury.

Mr Bowyer was from Oxfordshire, Mr Grimshaw was from Northamptonshire, while Mr Nokes and Mr Manders-Naden were both from Buckinghamshire.

A 17-year-old who was also in the Ford Fiesta remains critical in hospital.

In a tribute, the family of Mr Grimshaw, from Brackley, said: "He lived life to the full. He made everybody smile with his cheeky ways and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

"His brothers Lewis (aged 19) and Daniel (aged nine) are absolutely devastated, as is his girlfriend Stacey. He meant the world to all of us. He has left a huge hole in our hearts and lives forever."

The family of Mr Bowyer, from Marsh Gibbon, said: "James was a wonderful son, brother and grandson. You have left a great void in our lives, your cheeky smile and sense of humour will be with us always.

"James loved his sports and was a good team player. He loved his job as a trainee panel beater and fitter apprentice."

The family of Mr Nokes, from Buckingham, issued a tribute which read: "Kirk was a most beautiful, caring and fun-loving boy, he loved life as much as he loved his family and friends.

"He was passionate about the game of rugby which was the love of his life. He was immensely proud to play for Buckingham Rugby Club and having recently left the Colts side he was playing for the 3rd XV along with his father Paul."

Mr Manders-Naden, from Calvert Green, was described by relatives as the "best son, brother, grandson and friend anyone could wish for".

"He brought nothing but pleasure to our lives and all those he met.

"Our hearts go out to all the families affected by this terrible, terrible tragedy," his family added.

A police spokesman urged anyone who witnessed the crash, which is not thought to have involved any other vehicles, to contact them.
