Hurled nails crack train window

Damaged train windscreen
The driver was not hurt in the attack in which four-inch nails were hurled

A train windscreen was damaged when youths seen near a railway line threw nails at the driver's cab.

The National Express East Anglia service between Ipswich and Cambridge was travelling at about 60mph when the four-inch (10cm) nails hit the window.

British Transport Police said the driver was unhurt in the attack at Fulbourn at 1930 BST on Friday.

Police want to find youths seen by the Fulbourn Old Drift crossing at the time of the incident.
