Teenagers held in cockfight raid
Three teenagers have been arrested after police raided a suspected cockfight in County Durham.

Officers were called to suspicious activity in a white van parked in Durham Road, Bishop Auckland, on Tuesday evening.

Two badly injured cockerels were found in a nearby field and items linked to cockfighting recovered from the van.

Two youths, aged 16 and 17, and an 18-year-old man were arrested and bailed on suspicion of animal cruelty.

The cockerels have been passed into the care of RSPCA inspectors, who are also involved in the investigation.
