Singer Lee Ryan, 24, has denied attacking a Surrey taxi driver.

The former-member of boy band Blue pleaded not guilty to assault following a minor traffic accident in Oxted on New Year's Eve.

Mr Ryan, who lives in Bickley, south-east London, entered the not guilty plea at Redhill Magistrates' Court on Friday.

He was ordered by legal adviser Stephen Green to reappear at the court for trial on 7 May.

Mr Ryan left Blue nearly three years ago.
