An East Sussex footballer has died after collapsing on the pitch.
Herve King, 27, who played for Ringmer FC, collapsed after just 17 minutes of play against Three Bridges on Saturday.
He was treated on the pitch by sports therapists and paramedics before being taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The data analyst had just re-signed for Ringmer having also had spells at Burgess Hill in West Sussex and Redhill in Surrey.
A message on the club's website described the "sterling efforts" of all those who tried to revive him.
